Embassy of Switzerland in Madagascar

As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.

The Embassy of Switzerland in Antananarivo is responsible for diplomatic relations with Madagascar, Mauritius, the Seychelles and the Union of the Comoros.

Consular matters relating to Mauritius should be addressed to the Swiss Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa.

• Important notice for visa customers

  Due to the high number of visa applications, it can take up to four weeks or more before an appointment is available to submit the visa application to the Embassy.

  The Embassy therefore urges you to fill in your visa application online before making your appointment as soon as possible. An appointment to submit a visa application can be made via www.swiss-visa.ch, as early as 6 months before the planned trip to the Schengen area.

  If you are unable to attend, the Embassy kindly asks you to cancel your appointment so that other people can benefit from it.

  Visa applicants residing in the Comoros may submit their visa applications to the French Embassy in Moroni or the Swiss Embassy in Antananarivo.
